Description
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Safety Management System Voluntary Program (SMSVP) encompasses the procedures and requirements for non-Part 121 Air Operators (i.e., non-scheduled service carriers) and air agencies who want to voluntarily implement an SMS. Certificate holders who participate in the program and meet all program requirements will have a state-accepted SMS that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) SMS requirements.
