The Singapore Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB) is the air, marine and rail accidents and incidents investigation authority in Singapore.
The sole objective of its safety investigations is the prevent of transport accidents and incidents, and the safety investigations do not seek to apportion blame or liability.
When investigation an accident or serious incident, TSIB will:
- Gather, record and analyse all available information on the accidents and incidents
- Determine the cause and/or contributing factors.
- Identify possible issues.
- Make safety recommendations to address the safety issues
- Produce and investigation report.
