Definition
Q-routes are RNAV routes, not predicated on any ground-based navigational aids. They are for use between 18,000 feet and FL450 inclusive, and they appear on En Route High Altitude charts published by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Unless otherwise specified, these routes require system performance currently met by GPS, GPS/WAAS, or DME/DME/IRU RNAV systems that satisfy the criteria discussed in Advisory Circular 90-100A, U.S. Terminal and En Route Area Navigation (RNAV) Operations.
