ATO
Description
The Air Traffic Organization (ATO) is the operational arm of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It is responsible for providing air navigation services to 29.4 million square miles of airspace, which includes all of the United States (more than 5 million miles) and large portions of the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico (more than 24 million miles in total). ATO is responsible for more than 17% of the world's airspace.
