The growth in the number of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) in Australia is increasing exponentially. This presents an emerging and insufficiently understood transport safety risk. Through this research report, the ATSB aims to better understand the implications for transport safety associated with the expected continual growth in the number of RPAS in Australia.
