This paper highlights the key areas of the civil aviation ‘eco-system’ that would be positively impacted by a coherent approach to managing and mitigating staff mental health and wellbeing using the International Standards Organisation 45003 approach (see Annex A) to the concept of Psychosocial Risk Management (PsRM).
The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the development of a response to the emerging recognition of the safety risk posed by the mental health and wellbeing of all civil aviation personnel.
