On 30 May 2003 a McDonnell Douglas MD11 operated by Gemini Air Cargo Inc, made a late touchdown at night on runway 04R (length: 8400 feet) at JFK, New York, which subsequently resulted in runway overrun. The aircraft entered an Engineered Materials Arresting System (EMAS) and sustained minor damage. None of the three-member crew was injured.
