This document presents a Cognitive Task Analysis (CTA) for First Air Traffic Control Support Tools Implementation (FASTI). This CTA describes how ATC tasks will change following the implementation of FASTI tools (i.e., MTCD, MONA and SYSCO) and identifies the mental demands associated with these tasks. Based on the CTA, the report identifies the Human Performance benefits and issues associated with FASTI, and makes recommendations to address these issues. These recommendations refer to training, the human machine interface, working methods, and allocation of tasks/functions. The CTA will be of value to project teams involved in the implementation of FASTI-like support tools, in particlar to Human Factors experts and training experts.
