An MD 83 operated by Austrian Air Charter Company MAP on behalf of Atlas Jet Turkey and using an Atlas Jet Callsign and a Turkish flight crew made a night take off for Antalya Turkey in which the rotation was observed to have been very late in relation to the length of the runway. Afterwards it was established that the aircraft had collided on departure with the approach lights for the opposite runway. Damage had been caused to both lights and reflective poles to a distance of 85 meters from the runway end. The flight proceeded without further event to the planned destination, where some debris was discovered in landing gear assembly.
