Today's ATM system relies heavily on software systems in order to be able to function efficiently. In an industry in which safety is so important, the supporting software is equally important. This course provides guidance on the management of software safety assurance activities for ATM systems. The course addresses the concepts of safety assessment as per Regulation 2017/373 and its associated AMC/GM.
Central to the course are the industrial standards listed in the Software GM.
The complete software lifecycle is addressed, including planning, identification of software requirements, allocation of software assurance levels (SWALs), compliance with SWALs, and audits and reviews.
